Oldham Athletic manager John Sheridan is confident in himself to get his side back to winning ways.
Latics have taken four points from the last three games but the manager believes the performances deserved better results.
This weekend Sheridan’s team travel to the New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United in Sky Bet League One.
Ahead of the game the gaffer said: “Rotherham [United] have got good players, in this league when I’m talking about the opposition and who you are playing, we’re playing some good teams who have got some good players in the team week in week out.
“Rotherham are a strong outfit, they’ve had some good results and then some poor results but they’re at home and they’ll be looking at us, playing bottom of the league and thinking that there’s a good chance of getting three points.
“If I look at us, we are improving, we look better and are creating chances so I’ve just got to hope we start winning games.
“I think we have improved a lot over the last few games, I’ve just got to keep faith in what I’m doing which I will do.
“I’ll stick to my guns, I’m not someone who’ll shy away from what I think is right and what will get us results.
“I’ll go to Rotherham thinking we’re going to win the game and I’ll put a team out what will hopefully win the game, we need to win games because the situation that we’re in but it’s another tough game for us.”
Eoin Doyle will miss the game through suspension after he received a second yellow card in last weekend’s game against Shrewsbury Town, but the manager is confident that someone will step up in his place.
“It gives a chance for someone to come and fill his shoes, he’s had a good partnership with [Craig] Davies, they’ve been creating chances.
“Whoever comes in will hopefully fill them and will want to fight for the cause and for the lads to try and get 3 points.”
When asked about who will feature in place for the suspended Doyle, Sheridan was tight lipped on who it would be but said he knew who he will pick for the position.
Latics travel to Rotherham United on Saturday, September 23, 3pm kick off.
