Latics To Host Fans For Diversity Event This Evening

26 September 2017

Tonight’s home game against Peterborough United will be the club’s designated Kick It Out fixture.

As part of the campaign, Oldham Athletic, along with the Community Trust, are hosting the inaugrial Fans For Diversity event.

This event will be the first of many held throughout the year to engage with our local community.

Anwar Uddin, lead on the Fans For Diversity campaign which is run in partnership by Kick It Out and the Football Supporters' Federation said: "I’m delighted to be at Oldham Athletic this evening to meet with the club and local community leaders on behalf of the Fans For Diversity campaign, run by Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation.

“Oldham is a fantastic town with a diverse population, so I think it’s an important step for the club to look into how they can engage with all parts of their local community. Fans For Diversity is proud to being supporting that process and we look forward to working closely with the Latics in the months ahead.”

The players will warm up in the Kick It Out t-shirts and messages will be displayed around the ground.
