Latics To Support World Autism Awareness Day This Afternoon

2 April 2018

Today’s game coincides with World Autism Day, a day which highlights the hurdles people with autism face every day.

World Autism awareness day is to celebrate the unique talents of those with autism, while putting a huge focus on the warm embrace and welcome that these skills deserve through the community.

Today is “Wear it Blue Day” to show your support and raise awareness for autism. Oldham Athletic and Blackpool players will be wearing blue autism t-shirts during the warm up to show their support.

To celebrate World Autism Day, Oldham Athletic player Daniel Gardner recently visited the JIGSAW project, a weekly youth club for children with additional needs.

The midfielder visited the project to show his support for the work Oldham Athletic Community Trust do & to meet children on the autistic spectrum.
