SIGNING: Former Premier League Striker Signs For Latics

2 August 2018

Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Ishmael Miller.

The striker has joined the club on a one-year deal after impressing whilst on trial.

The 31-year-old has previously worked with manager Frankie Bunn at Manchester City where Miller started his career.

After two season at the Manchester club, the striker signed permanently for West Bromwich Albion following a loan spell in which he helped them win the Championship in 2007/08.

Miller made 80 appearances for the Baggies, helping them once more to reach the Premier League after winning the Championship title in 2010/11 before moving to QPR on loan.

Following his time in west London, he signed for Nottingham Forest and has also had spells at Middlesbrough, Yeovil Town, Blackpool and Huddersfield Town.

He has also featured for Bury in League One, since then Miller has been enjoying a break from football.

The striker will wear the number 11 shirt during his time with the club.
