Gevaro Nepomuceno believes pre-season has put the team in good shape ahead of this weekend’s opener against MK Dons.
The Curaçao International is delighted with how preparations have been for the upcoming season.
“I am feeling great” he says.
“I can’t wait to start the season. I think we had a great pre-season with the team and I think all of us are ready for the game on Saturday.”
The winger has featured in every single game this pre-season and he believes the squad is in great condition.
“The first two weeks was stronger than I’ve ever had but I think we all felt very fit in the games we played.
“I think it was a very good preseason.”
A new style of football from manager Frankie Bunn has also got Nepomuceno looking forward to the season.
“I think the way he (Bunn) works; I enjoy it a lot.
“He likes to press on and that’s the way I like to play; so, I have enjoyed having him here.”
He also believes that a positive start is key for Oldham’s season if they are to have a successful season.
“If you start positive, then you can keep having high confidence for the next game.
“You win this one, you win the next one, and you never know what’s going to happen in the end of the season.”
