MATCH PREVIEW: Forest Green Rovers vs. Oldham Athletic

10 August 2018

Oldham Athletic face a trip to Forest Green Rovers in the Sky Bet League Two tomorrow afternoon (3:00pm kick off).

Latics come into the game off the back of a narrow defeat against one of the divisions favourites for promotion in MK Dons last weekend.

Frankie Bunn’s side still have doubts over the fitness levels of Jose Baxter and Peter Clarke.

Baxter played 45 minutes in a behind closed door friendly on Tuesday and Clarke only started training this week.

This means Latics could line up with the same young back line as they did on the opening day, but Bunn has faith that they can cope in the division.

“There's some good players there and they're still learning.” Bunn said.

“They are young and they'll keep making mistakes, but you've just got to hope they learn from those mistakes, but they've shown some good potential.”

Meanwhile the hosts this weekend have no fresh injury concerns and are coming into the clash off the back of an impressive 4-1 win away at Grimsby Town.

Striker Christian Doidge bagged a brace, so he could be the major goal threat to look out for.

Latics old boy Carl Winchester was also on the score sheet and an own goal rounded off the scoring.

Sky Bet have given Oldham Athletic odds of 9/5 for the win.

Sam Rosbottom and Roy Butterworth will be on commentary on iFollow Latics for supporters who cannot make the game.
