Oldham Athletic are saddened to learn of the passing of former player and manager Jimmy McIlroy, aged 86.
McIlroy made 42 appearances for the club as well as managing the team in the Third Division.
The Northern Ireland international spent three years at Oldham Athletic, taking charge of 122 matches from 1965 to 1968.
The club would like to send their condolences to the friends and family of Jimmy at this very sad time.
