Oldham Athletic are back at Boundary Park tomorrow as they take on Notts County in the Sky Bet League Two fixture (3pm).
Caretaker manager Pete Wild oversaw an impressive 1-4 victory away at Port Vale last time out with Latics looking to close the gap on the playoff places.
Wild says that the team cannot take their opponents for granted despite their league position.
“I've watched Notts County all weekend and my thoughts are is that their lucks starting to improve and they're going to be on the turn pretty quickly.” He said.
“They've got some really good players and Neal (Ardley) seems to be getting the best out of them now and they could have easily won Saturday.
“You can't underestimate them, yes, they're bottom of the league, but in my eyes, they won't be there for long.
“We've got to make sure come tomorrow 5pm they're still bottom of the league and we can't afford to take them lightly.”
Wild said after Saturday that some players were looking tired so there could be a potential to alter a few things in his team selection.
He is also hoping to have a couple of names back on the bench, although he wouldn’t specify who.
Notts County currently sit bottom on the table on goal difference after a rather disappointing season where they were tipped as one of the promotion favourites.
The Magpies are on their third manager of the season with Neal Ardley currently taking the reigns following the departures of both Kevin Nolan and Harry Kewell.
They picked up a point at home to Bury on Saturday in a 0-0 draw, but Jon Stead missed a penalty and the opportunity to take all three.
In the reverse fixture at Meadow Lane the sides played out a 0-0 draw with Notts County goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons in fine form to keep Latics out.
Notts County will be without Dan Jones who was injured in the warm up prior to the Bury game.
Jamie Turley failed a fitness test prior to the Bury game so he is most likely a doubt.
Former Latics man Lewis Alessandra and Enzio Boldewijn are long-term injuries, so they will be missing from the Notts County squad for defiant.
Last time the sides met at Boundary Park was back in January 2015 where Latics ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from George Elokobi, Amari Morgan-Smith and Jonathan Forte.
Oldham Athletic are priced at 4/6 to beat Notts County.
