Oldham Athletic and owner Abdallah Lemsagam would like to thank the 2,294 supporters who made the trip to Ewood Park on Saturday.
The noise created and the support you showed towards the team was a credit to the football club and we want to thank you for that.
Lemsagam said: “I was proud of the fans for their support on Saturday. The noise made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I could feel the passion from the crowd.
“That is exactly the atmosphere we want to create at SportsDirect.com Park. We need the place to be full and everyone to be loud and create a hostile atmosphere where teams don’t enjoy coming.
“Hopefully our performance can persuade more to attend tomorrow’s game against MK Dons and hopefully we can pick up all three points.”
The club would like to reiterate that pyrotechnics are banned from all football stadiums around the country.
Those supporters who discharged pyrotechnics inside the stadium, endangering the safety of fellow fans, must be aware that this is criminal behaviour which will not be tolerated and that anyone found responsible for such actions risks a lifetime ban from the club.
We are keen to stress this is only a minority of supporters and again, we would like to thank you for your excellent support on Saturday.
