Defender Kean Bryan admitted he was back for more after signing on loan until the end of the season.
The defender netted twice in 25 appearances for Latics this season before his return to Manchester City but he is back and cannot wait to get started.
He said: “It’s great to be back. It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve played and I can’t wait to get back going again and play football.”
The 21-year-old felt it was an easy decision to re-sign.
“There was a few clubs that was interested so it made things a bit more difficult than I expected but it’s a good thing that teams are wanting me,” he admitted.
“I just felt that I was playing here, enjoying my football and I like the way the manager plays his football so the main thing for me was Richie.
“He was on to me every day saying ‘are you coming, are you coming’ and I spoke to my agent and it was best to come back here and play games.”
Bryan is at a key stage in his development and believes Oldham Athletic is the right place for him.
“You are learning every day,” he said. “When you play with Peter Clarke and Anthony Gerrard and different experienced players, you see what they bring to the table and it was a good experience for me and I’m back for more.”
