Striker Eoin Doyle is delighted to be back with Oldham Athletic and hopes to steer them away from trouble when he returns to action in March.
The 29-year-old signed on loan from Preston North End earlier today and he is happy to be back.
He said: “I’m buzzing to be back and I can’t wait to get going.
“The manager and the group of lads were a big factor and I don’t like seeing the position they are in at the moment so hopefully I can secure of status in the league.”
Speaking about his first loan spell with the club earlier in the season, he said: “It was as good as it could have went.
“The injury cut it short but it was as enjoyable time as I’ve ever had playing football so it was brilliant.”
Doyle suffered a blood clot in December which has ruled him out for several months.
“I would be back in March,” Doyle said. “I’m getting there, though. I’m fit but I can’t risk contact because I’ve got a blood clot. I’m on thinners so I’ll be brand new come March.
“I don’t think fitness will be an issue because I’m physically able to keep myself ticking over.
“I’ll be going into the games when they come back around confident so I hope I have some successful games.”
