New signing Sam Graham is looking forward to his first taste of league action next season after signing on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.
Graham joined Latics from the Blades today and believes he has what it takes to compete in the league.
He said: “It feels good to go out into a league club and get some experience.
“It’s a good challenge for me. Age is just a number. I just go and enjoy myself and hopefully I can play well.
“I’m an aggressive centre half. I like to defend and do all the dirty work properly and I’m looking forward to the season starting.”
Manager Frankie Bunn has spoken to the 17-year-old ahead of his arrival.
“He has just said to enjoy yourself and have no worries,” Graham commented.
“He has told me to express myself and show everyone what I can do.”
