On loan goalkeeper Daniel Iversen is looking forward to kicking off the new season as an Oldham Athletic player.
The 21-year-old has joined the club from Leicester City on a season long loan.
“I’m really happy to come here and play some games,” he explained.
“I want to do my best for the club, of course what is most important is the club and the team, for me.”
“It was really good to come here and play some friendly games and meet the players, I’m very happy to be here.”
It is not the first time the 6’4” shot stopper has been to Boundary Park, he was part of the Leicester City squad that came to Oldham for a Checkatrade Trophy match last season.
“I can remember the stadium and the atmosphere,” he said.
“I love the old style stadiums here in England. I can’t wait for the opening day of the new season.”
The Dane has been on trial with the club and featured in the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest and the 0-1 win over Girona.
He will wear the number one shirt at Latics and he’s looking forward to the challenge of League Two football.
“I think it will be a very good physical battle,” he commented.
“I am tall so I need to try and come out and catch some balls inside the box.”
