Oldham Athletic have re-signed striker Jonathan Benteke on a one-year deal.
The striker originally joined the club in February on a short-term deal which came to an end in May.
He has since been on trial with the club and has impressed during that time.
The 23-year-old has featured as a trialist in all of Latics’ pre-season friendlies, scoring against Ashton United, Nottingham Forest and Girona.
Benteke started his career in his native Belgium coming through the youth ranks with Standard Liège.
Following his release, he joined Visé in the Belgian Second Division and made 20 appearances, scoring two goals.
A two-year spell at Belgian First Division side Zulte-Waregem followed where he scored twice in 25 appearances.
He linked up with his brother Christian Benteke at Crystal Palace in 2016 and made one Premier League appearance before injury ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
He will wear number 14 shirt during his time at the club.
Welcome back to Oldham Athletic, Jonathan!
