Manager Frankie Bunn has urged the people of Oldham to get behind his team and continue their fantastic support during the upcoming campaign.
Speaking after today’s open training, Bunn was delighted with how many people, young and old, turned out to see his side.
“We need the people of Oldham with us,” he announced.
“It was great to see a young crowd here, they’re our potential supporters for the next 20 to 30 years, so it’s fantastic that there were so many of them here today.”
The open training session was a good chance for fans to see the work the squad do in the build-up to a match, in time for the season opener against MK Dons.
“It was a good eye opener for the supporters,” Bunn commented.
“It was just a little insight of what we do and how we do it, as well as how hard the lads work.”
After a busy pre-season campaign Bunn and his team are putting the final preparations together for this weekend’s match at Boundary Park.
“We are all excited to get going now, he said.
“It is what we have all been building up to, from the players, all the way through to the staff behind the scenes, we can’t wait to get going now.”
Latics host MK Dons at Boundary Park on Saturday, August 4 (3:00pm kick off).
