Spirits are high in the Oldham Athletic dressing room according to striker Eoin Doyle.
Latics head into the final game of the season against Northampton Town knowing a win will keep them in Sky Bet League One for another season.
Speaking ahead of the game, Doyle said: “There have been plenty of ups and downs I suppose.
“I missed big chunks of the season myself through injury but considering from the time when I came in to where we are now we have a fine chance of staying up and we can’t ask for much more really.
“I have enjoyed the lads and everything about the place so personally it has been a good move but it would be great if we could get it over the line on Saturday.
“It’s in our hands and if you would have offered us that at the start of the season then we would have snapped it up.
“We are in good spirits and we are looking forward to it. It’s a big game and we can’t wait.”
Around 1,500 supporters will be at Sixfields for the game and the striker was complimentary of the fans.
“They have been great, especially on the away trips,” he commented. “The trip to Bury stands out because we took up two stands which was weird to play in but they have been great.
“Hopefully they will come down in their packs again and shout us on.”
