Congratulations to striker Eoin Doyle who has won the club’s Goal of the Season for his strike against Rochdale at Boundary Park.
The striker hit a sweet first time volley over the head of Josh Lillis from 30 yards to put Latics 3-1 ahead in the game in November.
He won with 62% of the votes with Cameron Dummigan’s 30-yard strike against Bradford City finishing second with 18%.
Speaking about the goal himself, Doyle said: “As soon as it was flicked on I knew in my mind that I was going to hit it on the volley.
“I saw the goalkeeper off the line and luckily it went into the back of the net so I was delighted to score.
“I’d put it up there as one of the best goals I’ve scored in my career.”
