Oldham Athletic Community Trust are set to launch a brand-new college programme, open to 16-18-year old, ready for September 2019.
The programme, ran in partnership with the English Football League Trust, will see the Community Trust mix classroom learning with the opportunity of representing Oldham Athletic in a national futsal league.
The pioneering programme is aimed at young people who have a passion for sport and a desire to progress to university or work in sport. Unlike regular college courses, EFL Trust Futsal students are able to study via an online platform, as they swap the mundane classroom to learn within a sporting environment.
Here is what you’ll get;
- Learn: Study towards a BTEC in Sport (worth up to three A-Levels) (other qualifications may be available, contact your local club for further information)
- Train: Regular Futsal coaching to develop technical, tactical and physical ability
- Play: Represent your local professional club in EFL Trust Futsal League and other cup competitions
- Work: Open the door to University courses and careers in the sports industry
There are limited places available for this once in a lifetime opportunity; students moving into sixth-form education are encouraged not to hesitate with their application.
