Latics Sign Goalkeeper On Emergency Loan

14 November 2018

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Alex Palmer has joined the club on an emergency loan for one week.

The 22-year-old year old has joined on an emergency loan in the absence of Daniel Iversen, who is on international duty, and Zeus De La Paz, who remains out through injury.

The West Brom Academy graduate has moved his way up the goalkeeping pecking order at the Hawthorns in recent seasons.

He is a regular in their under 23 side and has appeared on the bench for the first team on a number of occasions.

Palmer has also had consecutive loan spells at Kidderminster Harriers, making 11 appearances for the National League side before returning to his parent club.

He represented England at U16 level four times, with his last appearance coming against France in April 2012.

The shot stopper will available to play this weekend’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Cambridge United.

Welcome to Oldham, Alex!
