INTERNATIONAL LATICS: Nepomuceno Continues Fine Form For Curaçao

21 November 2018

Oldham Athletic had three players from the club called up for International Duty over the past week with Gevaro Nepomuceno, Daniel Iversen and youngster Harry Robinson representing their countries.

Nepomuceno has been in a purple patch for Curaçao and he made it four goals in three games for his country in the 6-0 win over Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Nepomuceno grabbed himself a brace as he opened the scoring with a curling effort from the edge of the box, before tapping home Curaçao’s third goal during the second half.

He also produced two assists for his teammates to round up a good evening’s work for the winger.

Iversen’s night had differing fortunes as his Denmark U21s team fell to a 5-1 defeat against a strong England U21 side which featured the likes of Lewis Cook, Phil Foden, Dominic Solanke and Reiss Nelson.

Academy prospect Robinson scored Northern Ireland U19s first goal in the 3-2 win over Kazakhstan U19s, finishing from close range to get his side level at 1-1.

However, Northern Ireland failed to qualify for the Elite Round of the U19 2019 Euros Qualifying narrowly missing out on goal difference to Poland U19.
