Oldham Athletic manager Frankie Bunn has strengthened his backroom staff with the addition of a new goalkeeper coach.
Steve Hale has been working with Daniel Iversen, Zeus de la Paz and Ewan McFarlane over the past couple weeks and has now joined the club on a permanent basis.
He brings with him a wealth of experience having previously held similar roles at Walsall, Swindon Town and Forest Green Rovers, as well has running his own professional goalkeeping school.
Speaking about joining Oldham Athletic, Hale said: “I’ve been at the club for a couple of weeks now, I’ve done four games and I have enjoyed it.
“Frankie and the backroom staff have been brilliant and have made me feel very welcome and so have the team.
“It has been great to work with Daniel [Iversen] and young Ewan [McFarlane] whilst Zeus [de la Paz] has been injured. I managed to get Alex [Palmer] to come in on loan when Dan had to go off on international duty and he did really well making his football league debut.
“It’s a club with good tradition and I’m pleased to be here.”
Manager Frankie Bunn commented: “It is great to welcome Steve to Oldham Athletic, he has good experience and he has been around the block.
“Since he has been here he has built up a good rapport with the goalkeepers and that department is doing well.”
Welcome to Oldham Athletic, Steve!
