INTERNATIONAL LATICS: Mixed Success For Latics Trio On International Duty

17 October 2018

Oldham Athletic players Daniel Iversen, Gevaro Nepomuceno and Cameron Dummigan all featured for their countries over the International week for Denmark U21, Curaçao and Northern Ireland U21 respectively.

Daniel Iversen played in both of Denmark's U21s Euro U21 Qualifying campaign fixtures against Poland's U21s and Faroe Islands' U21s as the young Danish side qualified for the tournament as group winners.

They had a 1-1 draw with Poland's U21s before Iversen kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands U21 side.

Cameron Dummigan was an unused substitute in Northern Ireland's U21s 0-1 win over Iceland's U21s, but he did make an appearance in the 79th minute in the 1-0 over Slovakia's U21s as his Northern Ireland U21 team narrowly missed out on a playoff spot.

Gevaro Nepomuceno scored in Curacao’s 5-0 win over US Virgin Islands in the CONCACAF Nations League match. Nepomuceno cut inside off the right-hand side and unleashed a shot which the US Virgin Islands goalkeeper couldn’t keep out to double Curacao’s lead at the time.
