Oldham Athletic are back at Boundary Park as they take on Everton U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy (7:30pm).
A win would see Frankie Bunn’s men qualify to the knockout phase of the competition.
Bunn’s side will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat at Northampton Town.
Latics will take confidence from their last outing in the Checkatrade Trophy, after they dismantled Bradford City 1-4 thanks to goals from Callum Lang, Mohamed Maouche and a Sam Surridge brace.
Oldham will most likely have the same squad that travelled to Northampton, but Bunn may rotate his side for tonight’s game.
Both of Everton’s U23 and U18 sides sit at the top of their respective leagues, so tonight’s game will be no easy ride for Latics.
They have played one Checkatrade Trophy fixture so far this season against Bradford City falling to defeat on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Latics most recent games with Everton have come in the FA Cup.
Back in 2008 Gary McDonald scored a famous goal at Goodison Park securing a 0-1 win in the FA Cup Third Round to send Latics through.
Our last meeting with Everton resulted in a 3-1 defeat in a Fifth Round Replay after drawing the first tie 2-2 at Boundary Park.
There will be a minute's silence ahead of tonight's game and the players will be wearing black armbands as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the tragic events that happened at Leicester City on Saturday evening.
Oldham Athletic are priced at 8/11 to beat Everton U21s tonight.
Entry for tonight’s game is pay on the day only.
Legendary commentator John Helm will be alongside Roy Butterworth on iFollow Latics for supporters who cannot make the game.
Oldham Athletic supporters in the UK will be able to watch this evening’s match live for £10 via iFollow Latics.
