Oldham Athletic were saddened to hear the news that former player Peter Skipper passed away yesterday, aged 61.
Skipper came through at his local club Hull City where he made over 300 appearances in two spells for the club.
He joined Latics for the 1988/89 season where he made 27 appearances scoring one goal during his time at Boundary Park.
The central defender also had spells with Scunthorpe United, Walsall and Wrexham before finishing his career at Wigan Athletic.
