Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) is now part of the National Citizen Service network, which provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those aged between 15 and 17.
After a busy year of coursework, revision and exams, NCS is the perfect way to kick back and try something completely different. You're finally out of the classroom and into the great outdoors, discovering talents you never knew you had and making friends with some of the best people you’ll ever meet. Our NCS projects brings together individuals from across the community in a programme of challenge, learning, and discover.
The project last four weeks and consists of four different phases kicking off on July 20th 2020.
- Phase One: Experience activities such as; aeroball, bouldering, kayaking and many more as we take you away from Oldham and head to Colomendy, North Wales. Meet new friends and challenge yourself in the great outdoors before spending the weekend at home relaxing and catching up with the family.
- Phase Two: Meet back up with the wave as we head to Leeds to take on some independent living, tackle workshops and develop new skills such as first aid and leadership. Compete against your rival teams in a cooking contest and show off any hidden talents as we take to the stage at the end of the week.
- Phase Three: Headline your own social action project as you tackle issues in your area. Pitch your campaign to community figures and see your ideas flourish as you make a difference to your community.
- Phase Four: Celebrate! Catch up with your fellow NCS grads at the end of the experience, invite your family as you receive your NCS certificate signed by the prime minister.
Don't miss out on the summer of a lifetime, secure your place now for a price of just £30 available only until December 31st 2019.
