Oldham Athletic made their usual visit to the Royal Oldham Hospital ahead of celebrating Christmas.

Club Captain David Wheater, Chris Eagles, Gary Woods, Alex Iacovitti, Filipe Morais and Mohammed Maouche took time out of their schedule to visit the children’s ward at the hospital to spend quality time with the brave youngsters and their families, with Chaddy the Owl causing mischief throughout.

The players chatted and joked with the children and handed out gifts, as well as showing their appreciation to the hospital staff for their hard work over the Christmas period and all-year around.

In what is a tough period for both the children and staff, everyone enjoyed the visit and there were smiles and laughter aplenty across the ward.

The visit was organised and supported by the Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) and Professional Footballers' Association (PFA). The club would also like to thank Latics supporters who donated presents ahead of the visit with club and playing staff from both the first team and academy also providing gifts.
