NOTICE: Supporter Safety

22 February 2019

Tomorrow, sees another terrific away following from Latics fans making the short journey to Gigg Lane for what promises to be a pulsating derby game.

The club and the players are extremely grateful for the tremendous following that we get at away games and we are sure that our away support must be the best, as a percentage of the home gate, in the country. Paul and the players encourage you to continue to provide this incredible backing for the remainder of the season as they have not given up on the possibility of a late charge for the playoffs.

We remind fans that it is a criminal offence to take incendiary devices such as flares and smoke bombs into football grounds. It is also dangerous to you and your fellow supporters, so please do not take any of these items into a football stadium.

It has also been reported that some supporters have been encroaching on to the field of play, particularly at times of goal celebrations. Again we remind fans to enjoy celebrating goals but not by going on to the pitch.

By no means do we want to spoil your enjoyment of attending away games but incidents like the ones mentioned above will result in your club being faced with severe action from the governing body.

Please get behind Paul and the team tomorrow in a safe and enjoyable way, but at the same time remember to adhere to the ground regulations in place at Bury.

See you at Gigg Lane and thank you for the terrific support and co-operation.
