MATCH PREVIEW: MK Dons vs. Oldham Athletic

29 January 2019

Oldham Athletic are back in league action as they take on MK Dons in the Sky Bet League Two fixture.

Latics travel to the Stadium MK on a run of three games without a win and caretaker manager Pete Wild is hoping to get back to winning ways tonight.

“Our record there is horrendous, and we've shipped a lot of goals down the years going down there.” He said.

“We've got to put it right, we've got to look to go get something out of the game which we will be going to do.

“Ultimately if we've got any aspirations of staying in the top half of the table, we've got to come away there with something.”

Wild confirmed that there were no fresh injury concerns following the defeat to Doncaster Rovers.

Latics will be without the suspended Peter Clarke, but Mohamed Maouche is back in contention after serving his one-match ban at the weekend.

Young defender Jamie Stott also returns to the fold after his recent loan spell with Stockport County.

Our hosts will be without the injured George Williams who has been struggling with a hamstring problem.

Jordan Moore-Taylor is a doubt for the hosts after limping off at the weekend, but they could call upon Callum Brittain following illness.

The last time the sides met was the opening game of the season at Boundary Park which MK Dons ran out 1-2 winners.

Latics have a rather poor record when travelling to MK Dons with just one win in 11 visits.

That win came in February 2006 with a goal from Luke Beckett securing a 0-1 win for Oldham.

Oldham Athletic are 14/5 to beat MK Dons tonight.
