Oldham retail is entering an exciting new phase for the 19/20 season as the Club teams up with hummel/The Elite Group. The current store at Boundary Park Stadium will undergo a re-fit and reopen to the fans on Friday 26 July.

We are therefore looking to recruit an experienced retail manager, experienced sales assistant and flexible matchday staff. Applicants for all positions are required to be flexible in their approach as hours will vary across the week and include matchdays and evening work. 

Job Summary – Manager (35-40 hours p/w). Salary £20k
The Store Manager has full responsibility for overseeing the daily operations and organisational standards of the store, in line with the company’s culture and goals which includes leading and motivating a retail sales team to  drive sales and deliver an exceptional customer service.  They have full commercial responsibility for delivering agreed, set commercial targets.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operational processes and procedures of the branch
  • Implementing and setting organisational standards.
  • Managing all employees including hiring, firing, training, performance evaluation and well-being.
  • Scheduling rotas to optimise staff cover in store whilst controlling costs.
  • Delegating and prioritizing work load to staff.
  • Implementing marketing, advertising, promotional and financial strategy as set by Retail Director.
  • Contributing to the phasing of topline sales budget for the store at a daily, weekly and monthly level.
  • Review sales data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer service are set, achieved and maintained.
  • Responsible for daily in store health and safety.

Job Summary – Sales Assistant (Flexible). Salary depending on age and experience.
To assist the management team in the day to day running of the store, focusing on customer service.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to customers.
  • Recommending and promoting products to customers.
  • Maintaining high standards and ensuring products are fully stocked, well presented and clean.
  • Keeping up to date with promotions.
  • Processing cash and card transactions.
  • Assisting with deliveries.

Job Summary – Matchday Sales Assistant (Flexible). Salary depending on age and experience.
To assist the retail team on busy matchdays, focusing on customer service.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to customers.
  • Recommending and promoting products to customers.
  • Processing cash and card transactions.
