Oldham Athletic XI came back to draw 2-2 with Ashton United at Hurst Cross with a Trialist at the double for Latics.
The game got off to a slow start until a trialist for Latics managed to turn his man inside the penalty box but was unable to get a shot away.
The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute when Callum Dolan tried his luck from outside the Latics box and he found the bottom corner of Gregor Zabret’s goal.
Although, Latics nearly equalised instantly as a trialist crossed the ball into the Ashton box, but a fellow trialist was unable to get a connect on the delivery.
A Latics trialist managed to beat two defenders with skill before crossing the ball into a danger area, but the goalkeeper managed to get his hands onto the ball.
The host constructed a great bit of play which resulted in an Ashton player nearly finding the top corner of the Latics goal.
Latics began to apply pressure on the host and nearly found the equaliser when a trialist shot from 20 yards out and he rattled the crossbar.
Moments later the same trialist then tried his luck again but this time he was denied by the Ashton goalkeeper.
Just before half-time, a Latics trialist cut inside from the left, beat a defender, and then struck just wide of the goal.
Callum Dolan nearly scored his second of the goal just after half-time, his shot went just wide of the goal from long range.
The host extended their lead on the 60th minute when Ryan Crowther broke clean through on goal and he slotted past Zabret into the bottom corner.
Latics managed to pull a goal back in the 76th minute when a trialist picked up on a loose ball and lopped the goalkeeper.
With 4 minutes left of the game, Latics found an equaliser when a trialist got his second of the game as their goalkeeper gave the ball away and the trialist dispatched from a tight angle.
