Latics Sign Former Premier League Star

Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce that midfielder Chris Eagles has signed a one-year deal with the club with an option of a further year.

Eagles is a product of the Manchester United academy and made his professional debut in 2003.

The skilful winger recorded 17 appearances for Manchester United, which includes the 2004 and 2007 FA Community Shield fixtures.

Chris joins the club after gaining a vast amount of Football League experience with spells at Burnley, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday.

In addition, he also had a six-month spell at fellow Sky Bet League Two Club Port Vale.

The 33-year-old last played for Ross County in Scotland, where he made eight appearances.

He will wear the number 33 shirt whilst at the club and was part of the squad that travelled to Morocco for the pre-season tour.
