MATCH PREVIEW: Oldham Athletic vs. Stevenage

1 March 2019

Oldham Athletic are back at Boundary Park tomorrow afternoon when they take on Stevenage in the Sky Bet League Two fixture.

Latics come into the game after back-to-back defeats, but manager Paul Scholes believes his team will show a reaction against Stevenage.

““It's been a good week the players have worked really hard and we'll see how well it's gone on Saturday.” He said.

“We've done our homework like always, we try not to over analyse and concentrate on other teams too much because it is about us.

“They're a good team and they've had some decent results over the past few games.

“They're very direct and it'll be something that we'll have to handle, but like I said I like to concentrate on us.

“We've got players here capable of giving good performances and that's what we're looking for.”

Tom Hamer has been back in training this week, but Scholes said he will be assessed ahead of the game.

Dan Gardner and Ousmane Fane are still long-term absentees.

Stevenage are currently three games without a win coming into Saturday’s game.

They sit just six points off the playoffs and two above Latics in a game that both teams could do with winning.

In the reverse fixture, Stevenage ran out 3-2 winners, despite Ishmael Miller and Callum Lang twice giving Latics the lead.

Last time the sides met at Boundary Park was back in January 2014 where Latics ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a goal from James Wesolowski.

Oldham Athletic are priced at 4/6 to beat Stevenage tomorrow.

Michael Brown and Roy Butterworth will be on commentary on iFollow Latics for supporters who cannot make the game.
