The N Brown Group Team Of The Week returns today as Oldham Athletic Community Trust welcome students from Thorp Primary School to Boundary Park.
Thorp Primary, a proud school partner of OACT, visit Boundary Park this afternoon through their involvement with OACT’s schools programme. The schools programme sees Oldham Athletic coaches deliver regular physical activity sessions within the school on a daily basis. Oldham Athletic Community Trust work with a number of primary schools on a regular basis, ensuring that the football club is represented across the borough through the community work.
The school are situated in Royton on Thorp estate with around 240 children ranging from Nursery to Year 6. We enjoy a range of sporting activities in school and recently came 2nd in the Oldham Cross Country Schools Championships.
We have a netball team and have also competed in a range of other sporting competitions from all year groups. We have a successful woodwind group that perform regularly. We enjoy working with OACT and all year groups have had the chance to develop their football skills at an after school club.
Our children enjoy their learning in school and they have reported that they enjoy learning in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art and DT. Some classes also have French lessons. We have just had a home learning challenge to design a school of the future, we had some fantastic entries.
