57 seasons behind the scenes, the voluntary Press Officer Roy Butterworth has now lifted the lid on what he has experienced over the years.
'The Fan On The Inside' is a collection of his own personal memories starting from 1963, when he first joined the team at Boundary Park right through to the current day.
The lifelong Latics fan has created a book that features characters such as Jimmy Frizzell, Joe Royle, Alan Hardy and a touching tribute to his good friend Gordon Lawton.
On the announcement of his creation, Roy said; "After what I've seen I've been up, down, round and sideways.
"This book is a light hearted way of sharing what I've been a part of. Looking back I can't quite believe what has happened.
"Oldham Athletic, as you can tell, has been a big part of my life, and still is, and I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did creating it because it's brought back a lot of memories."
Proceeds raised from the sale of the book will be donated to Maggie's Oldham.
