After positive discussions with the supporters from the Athleticos group, they will relocate for one game as part of a trial.
Just for the Emirates FA Cup fixture against Burton Albion at the weekend, the Athleticos will move across from the corner of the Jimmy Frizzell Stand to the centre behind the goal towards the back rows.
This is an attempt to help create a better atmosphere inside Boundary Park.
Over the course of the season the club has received a number of comments and calls from supporters to trial the above suggestion and as a result the trial will be in place for the cup fixture only.
Oldham Athletic appreciates not all supporters in that area will want to be a part of the Athleticos and as such, fans who have already purchased tickets in the Jimmy Frizzell Stand can request a ticket in another area of the stand or elsewhere, if they wish by contacting the Ticket Office directly on supporter.services@oldhamathletic.co.uk and/or 0161 785 5150.
