Oldham Athletic would like to welcome students from St Anne's Denton Primary School who visit Boundary Park as this afternoon's N Brown Group Team Of The Week.
St Anne’s Denton, a proud school partner of OACT, visit Boundary Park this afternoon through their involvement with OACT’s schools programme which sees Oldham Athletic coaches deliver regular PE sessions within the school on a weekly basis. Oldham Athletic Community Trust work with a number of primary schools on a regular basis, ensuring that the football club is represented across the borough through the community work.
As a special surprise, ahead of their visit to Boundary Park for the Cheltenham Town game, Latics duo Zak Mills and David Wheater spent the afternoon with the school children this week. The pair took the time to take part in two PE classes, showcasing their talents to the children, before answering questions in a special assembly.
Earlier this week David Wheater and Zak Mills spent time with us at @StAnnesDenton, as part of the #OACTSchoolsProgramme delivery.

St Anne’s Denton
St Anne’s is a Tameside Primary School. The school opened in 1888 and has an interesting history. The school building is traditional in style and houses a hall, seven closed classrooms and a library. The classrooms are well equipped and provide an interesting, learning environment for the children.
The school is one form entry and the children are placed in classes according to their age. The classes are called by the relevant National Curriculum Years. We have one Foundation class (Reception). Two infant classes (Years 1 and 2) which form Key Stage 1 (KS1) and four junior classes (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) which form Key Stage 2 (KS2).
We aim to create a positive atmosphere of trust, mutual respect and high expectations between pupils, staff, parents and other professionals. Every member of our staff is determined to provide a happy, safe and calm environment where children behave well and develop into confident, creative and independent learners. At St Anne’s our goal is to ensure every child has a positive and rewarding start to their journey in education.
