Latics will travel to Gateshead FC in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The live draw took place on Monday evening on BBC Two and sees Latics take on the National League North outfit.
Fixtures are due to take place on Saturday 9 November with £36,000 of the FA's prize pot going to the victors.
