Carabao Cup

70 out of the 72 EFL Clubs will take part in Round One, with AFC Bournemouth and Watford coming into the competition in Round Two.

This season’s Carabao Cup also sees two new clubs take part in this season's competition, Barrow AFC and Harrogate Town - who were both in the north section of the draw with Oldham Athletic.

As per the previous two seasons, the Round One draw was divided into a northern and southern section but remained unseeded.

The 2020/21 competition has seen a number of significant scheduling changes with two legged semi-finals being replaced by a single tie and the first four rounds scheduled to take place on consecutive weeks, kicking off in early September.

But due to the international window may be played on alternative dates.  Rounds Two, Three and Four will be played on consecutive midweeks dates starting 15/16 September.

Premier League sides will enter the competition in Round Two or Round Three if they are competing in European competition in season 2020/21.

The 2020/21 Sky Bet EFL fixture schedule will be released on Friday 21 August at 9am.

With the EFL Trophy group stage confirmed later on this afternoon after Latics were placed in North Group F alongside Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers. The invited Premier League U23 side will be drawn live on talkSPORT2 from 1:30pm.
