The 2020/21 season gets underway in less than a week with a cup fixture at Boundary Park.

Latics will host Carlisle United in the opening round of the Carabao Cup on Saturday 5 September (3pm kick-off).

The fixture will be the first official competitive game of the 2020/21 season.

Harry Kewell's side will play behind-closed-doors against the Cumbrians at Boundary Park as both teams look to make a positive start by reaching the second round.

Oldham Athletic would like to make it clear that all fixtures currently are still strictly behind-closed-doors with spectators not allowed entry.

Extensive guidelines are in place for the safety of officials and players whilst the events are taking place.

Despite fans wanting to do so, it is important you do not travel or attempt to visit Boundary Park, especially with the new local restrictions in place.

iFollow App

Part of the recent upgrade was to move away from individual club-branded apps and to a new central 'EFL iFollow' app for the streaming of games to improve the user experience.

The application is now live on iOS and Android by clicking the link of the device you have. More information can be found here. The app does require a login from the start.

It is particularly important that supporters get the new app if they wish to watch match passes via a mobile device.

Having an iFollow account will be the only way to stream competitive fixtures live while games remain closed to supporters.

As this fixture is a cup comeptition all supporters, including season ticket holders, will have to purchase a match pass on a pay-per-view price of £10 if they want to watch the game live. There is no complimentary streaming codes for this fixture.

The revenues from this will be split 50/50 between both clubs. In addition, this game is only available to stream in the UK market only and not available outside of the domestic territory due to external right agreements from the EFL.

Users can contact ifollow@efl.com to change their iFollow email address to ensure it is the same one the club has on file.

Alternatively, if no subscriptions are active, supporters may simply wish to create a new iFollow account with the same email details the club has on file to prevent any problems in future games.

26082020 iFollow Passes

26 August 2020

This is because the club and EFL will recognise each user by the email address registered.

Unfortunately, the function to register as a new user on the iFollow app is not available directly by the EFL.

New users therefore must register an account via a computer before logging in to the app.

Existing users will have had their current registration migrated onto the new app and should sign in as normal.

Once more information is known from EFL Digital, Oldham Athletic will be in touch with full season ticket holders directly about their access/promo code for each of the complimentary home Sky Bet League Two match streams.

For clarity on any of the above, please contact the club directly on email at supporter.services@oldhamathletic.co.uk
