VACANCIES: Volunteer Minibus Driver & Academy Therapists

The Youth Team have two additional vacancies within the department and are as follows.

Volunteer Minibus Driver

Oldham Athletic are looking to recruit Volunteer Minibus Driver to join our existing team and work within our Category 3 Licensed Academy programme.

The successful candidate will be willing to work weekends during the football season plus some daytime and/or evening sessions on a rota basis, as mutually arranged.

Applicants need:

  • A valid UK driving licence with a D1 classification (as indicated on the licence).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Willing to follow and promote the Club football philosophy.

Safeguarding

To ensure compliance with the company’s safeguarding policy the successful candidate will require an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Academy Therapists

Oldham Athletic are looking to recruit a part time Academy Therapists to join our existing medical team and work within our Category 3 Licensed Academy programme.

The successful candidate will be willing to work hours that include a maximum of three evenings per week and at weekends on a rota basis, as mutually arranged.

General Information

The successful candidate must have the following skills and competencies:

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of the PMA online tool.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.
  • Willing to follow and promote the Club football philosophy.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Please note this position requires a successful DBS check.

Essential:

  • Completed BSc Physiotherapy or BSc Sports Therapy or BSc Sports Rehabilitation.
  • ITMMiF First Aid Qualification.
  • SST or CSP/HCPC or BASRaT Registered.
  • Interest in paediatrics/sporting clinical environment.

Desirable:

  • Advanced pitch-side trauma training ATMMiF (AREA).
  • Previous pitch-side or Paediatric/Academy setting experience.
  • Experience of working in a sporting interdisciplinary team.
  • FA Safeguarding Children Workshop.
