Oldham Athletic are extremely pleased to announce that Jonny Smith will be staying at Boundary Park on an improved deal after an agreement was reached with his parent club Bristol City.
The winger joined late on in the summer on a season long loan but as with most deals there was a recall clause in January.
Both clubs have agreed that Jonny will remain at Oldham after having a big impact, especially over the last few months.
The 22-year-old has so far made 23 appearances this season, scoring seven goals in his fourth loan spell away from the Championship club.
On the news, Head Coach Dino Maamria said; "The club have worked very hard to get this done after interest from others due to the fine form he has been in.
"He's a big part of this team this season and he's really enjoying his time here, so it was only right we tried to keep a hold of him, which I am sure the fans will be happy about.”
