We are aware that the announcement to close the North Stand with immediate effect on matchdays will be very concerning for all our fans and especially those who either spend time in the Oldham Event Centre (OEC) before the match or have season tickets in the stand.
As this decision was made by the Oldham Council Safety Advisory Group and informed the club at 15:30 today, please see the attached letter by clicking here. As a result, Oldham Athletic wanted to advise fans as quickly as possible.
There are fire regulation breaches that must be rectified by the OEC before the stand can be re-opened.
We understand that there are some more logistics that need to be worked through before our match against Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.
Rest assured, we’ll be working hard to ensure supporters can watch the match with as little disruption as possible.
