Head Coach Dino Maamria has confirmed that first team players have been told to train away from the club this week.
With the EFL suspending fixtures on Friday until the start of April at the very least, the club had to act quickly to ensure disruption was kept to a minimum.
As a result, the players will train away from Boundary Park and Chapel Road to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, despite no confirmed cases or players showing signs of the symptoms.
Maamria said; "The first team are on active rest this week. I’ve made the decision with my staff to give the players individual fitness work programmes to do on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
"Spirits remain high in the camp and we will keep in regular contact with them to see how they’re getting on and offer support as the backroom staff are committed to ensure we can continue to make progress.
"At the moment we plan to be back in from next Monday training together and focusing on the fixtures we have left.
"We understand it’s a difficult time for everyone and it’s an opportunity to rest, recover and make sure as a squad we’re in peak physical condition when the football season resumes as we want to finish the season strongly.
