The Fourth Episode of 'A Trip Down Sheepfoot Lane' Is Out Now!

30 May 2020

As part of the 125 year celebrations, the new videocast called ‘A Trip Down Sheepfoot Lane’ follows on from last week with three more special guests.

The fourth episode features more famous faces from their experiences together in the 2000s, with Les dialling in from 'down under' to share his memories and catch-up with old friends.

The main guest is the one and only John Sheridan. A club legend at Boundary Park, he made 164 appearances for Latics before having three permanent spells as Manager. Sheridan guided Oldham to the League One play-offs in 2007 as well pulling off the 'Shezzurection' in 2016 to save the club from relegation to League Two. Impressively, he repeated that feat the following season, against all the odds.

Also joining in is the magnificent David Eyres. He arrived at the club in 2000 and became an instant Latics favourite. Overall, he made over 180 league appearances, chipping in with his fair share of goals over a six-year period which included some spectacular efforts. The experienced winger was also voted Oldham fans' player of the season for the 2001/02 campaign.

Whilst the other familiar face to the Oldham faithful is Les Pogliacomi who had two spells at Boundary Park which altogether lasted five-years. The former goalkeeper holds a joint record with Connor Ripley at Latics, recording 18 league clean sheets and 19 in all competitions in the 2002/03 season and is remembered fondly by a large section of the fanbase due to his long tenure at the club between the sticks.

Unfortunately, John Harbin who first joined in 2002 as fitness conditioner and sports psychologist couldn't join the group call in the end but sent his best wishes to everyone.
