New CEO Appointed At Boundary Park

9 September 2020

Oldham Athletic are pleased to announce the arrival of Karl Evans as the club's new Chief Executive Officer.

Most recently a Sports Consultant across all levels of the game, including working with Liverpool and Salford City, the ex-CEO of Bury FC has spent over 25 years at Manchester United at the start of his working career, which included ten in a number of management positions and brings a wealth of experience and fresh ideas to Boundary Park.

He will be in charge of the day-to-day working at the club, guiding and managing the staff in place to ensure Latics remain at the heartbeat of the community, whilst also striving for more improvements in all areas.

On joining the club, Karl said: "I'm delighted to be a part of Oldham Athletic. How we conduct ourselves as a club is extremely important and I am committed on making sure as a team we continue to make a positive impact in the town.

"With my consultancy work at a number of different clubs now I have helped them improve in different areas, with this opportunity allowing me to do that once more."

He added: "I will always take into account the fans opinions as well as being open and honest. I know there's still a lot of work to do, but I am committed to help change things for the better."

Starting immediately behind-the-scenes, it sees a change in direction from the Board with Natalie Atkinson leaving as Managing Director.

The club would like to thank Natalie for her efforts whilst at Latics, especially over the last few months during the pandemic, and wishes her well for the future.
