Following direct communication from Leyton Orient that a number of their players have tested positive for COVID-19, clarity can now be provided on the fixture tomorrow.
The club sought advice from the EFL medical advisors immediately before contacting the opposition this afternoon.
After confirming the ongoing daily in-house screening protocols that will remain in place and the timeframe between the fixture with Leyton Orient, this means the opening EFL Trophy group stage match on Tuesday against Wolves U21 at Boundary Park will still go ahead as planned with a 7:45pm kick-off behind-closed-doors.
The club will continue to follow the strict guidelines in place to ensure safety is the number one priority.
