The club can confirm that an initial pitch inspection will take place tomorrow morning (Friday 12 February) ahead of the Exeter City game this weekend.
This is planned before the Grecians team travel after their unfortunate experience during the week at Barrow.
With the country battling below-freezing temperatures over the course of the week, the situation is unfortunately not expected to improve, considering the forecasts.
For context, the pitch covers were laid last weekend (Saturday 6th) in anticipation of these cold weather conditions.
The grounds team have and continue to work around the clock to ensure the pitch is covered twice over, along with the use of the lighting rig to heat the section of the pitch under the Main Stand, whilst also making sure it is aired in short periods when temperatures rise slightly around the middle of the day.
A further official update will be provided, when possible, once the pitch inspection is complete. The club will give the game every chance to be on, but also has to take into account the expected conditions and external factors that many clubs are facing this weekend with the inclement weather.
