Latics join forces with a new ticketing partner for the next five years.
Becoming part of its ever growing list of EFL clubs for the long-term, Oldham Athletic will benefit from the cutting edge software and sports ticketing expertise of Future Ticketing.
Looking to transform the ticketing operations, the club will now have full control and visibility over all elements of fixtures, ticketing, capacity management, seating plans and so much more, but more importantly will now have immediate access to ticketing revenues which is extremely important for all clubs in the current environment.
Other local clubs on their system include Fleetwood Town, Rochdale, Barrow, Stockport County and Altrincham alongside the likes of Dundee United, St. Johnstone, Montrose, Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic who are amongst some of the many SFL clubs already partnering with the firm.
As a result, season tickets for the 2021/22 campaign will go off sale, online and at the Ticket Office in two weeks time (Monday 21 June).
For a short period of time after that date supporters will not be able to renew or purchase new seats, with the process needing to happen as the club switches ticket providers, from Ticketmaster to Future Ticketing, over the summer.
This course of action is necessary to allow all up-to-date supporter data to be transferred securely to the new system which will allow the smooth process of future ticket sales for games next season.
A date is yet to be confirmed when season ticket sales will resume in July, but will be communicated in due course.
Commenting, Ronan Burns, Business Development Manager for Future Ticketing, said; "Future Ticketing are looking forward to working with Oldham Athletic and despite a tough period for clubs, we are continuing to grow our business and are now partnering very successfully with over 35 professional football clubs across England, Scotland and Ireland and our expansion into the English and Scottish Football leagues continues as many clubs prepare for a new normal, post-lockdown.
"In fact, many of the clubs who have come on board within the last 12 months now more than ever see the importance of having an innovative partner like Future Ticketing as a cornerstone to support their digital development."
Whilst Supporter Services Manager, Gina Buckley is excited to work with the new company; "We’re pleased to be partnering with Future Ticketing and believe their software will help us transform our ticketing operation while making the purchase and processing of ticketing so much easier for both the club and our loyal supporters, and more importantly working with the Future Ticketing software gives us immediate access to our ticketing revenues.
"Their easy to use ticketing software has impressed us and their access control and seating plan functionality will assist the club in providing a safe and controlled environment for the return of our supporters, while the auto renewal process will make seat renewals so much easier for our supporters and our club staff in the future. We are very confident that it will help us save time and resources as well as helping us to continuously improve supporter engagement."
