Latics welcome Ipswich Town to Boundary Park this evening for an Emirates FA Cup first round replay clash (7:45pm KO).
The sides could not be separated at Portman Road as Keith Curle’s men earned a respectable draw against higher league opposition.
Last time out, Oldham fell short down South, losing 2-1 to Exeter City with Jamie Bowden providing the goal for the visitors.
If Latics should overcome their opposition, a second round tie against fellow Sky Bet League Two side Barrow will be their reward at the start of next month.

Ipswich come into the tie on a good run of form which has seen them lose just one of their previous ten outings in all competitions.

In the first round match played between the two teams, Latics came from behind to draw 1-1, forcing a Boundary Park replay.
Wes Burns got the hosts off to a good start in Suffolk, with his goal coming in just the eigth minute but Oldham were level before the break.
Davis Keillor-Dunn restored parity in the 41st minute. Latics even had a chance to win the tie from the penalty spot but Dylan Bahamboula’s 55th minute effort was well saved by the Town stopper.
It was the first time that the clubs had met since 1997. On that occasion Ipswich were 4-0 winners.
You have to go back to January 1993 for the last time that Oldham triumphed over Town. A 2-1 win away from home was enough for Oldham to secure a Premier League double against Ipswich.
Familiar Face
Latics fans will remember George Edmundson from the time the defender spent at Boundary Park.
The young defender came through the youth academy at Latics and his impressive performances for the blues earned him a move to Scottish side Rangers following an impressive 2018/19 campaign that saw him receive accolades such as the club’s player of the season award as well as a place in the league’s team of the season.
He ventured back south of the border, joining up with Derby County for the second half of the last campaign and he later joined current club Ipswich in July 2021.
In The Dugout
Paul Cook is the man in the dugout for the visitors.
The 54-year-old has been boss at Portman Road since March 2021 and it is his first job since leaving Wigan Athletic at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Cook is well known from his time at the DW Stadium, he won promotion with Wigan back to the Championship during his time with the club and masterminded an impressive FA Cup run, the highlight of which was a memorable win over Manchester City.
He has also managed Portsmouth, Chesterfield, Accrington Stanley, Sligo Rovers and Southport.

The official in the middle for the game is Carl Boyeson.
Boyeson last officiated an Latics game in September 2021 as we suffered a 3-0 defeat against Barrow AFC at Boundary Park. On that day, he handed out one yellow card and zero red cards.
