Maggie's Shirt Auction

11 April 2022

To continue the club's support for Maggie’s Oldham, the Community Trust are auctioning a signed Maggie’s warm up t-shirt from the dedicated fixture last month against Leyton Orient.

Recently the Latics first team squad pledged their support to Ibby, who raised £1,616 for Maggie's in his latest fundraiser for the cancer charity based at the top of Sheepfoot Lane.

Following on from this, Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) continued to support Maggie’s by donating 50% of proceeds raised through their supported giving page up until the 18th of April.

Now, in an effort to raise more money for Maggie's, an Oldham Athletic signed shirt from Maggie's dedicated matchday is available with all funds raised being split between OACT and Maggie's Oldham

A silent auction process will be used to determine the recipient of the shirt. To place your bid, please email enquiries@oact.org.uk including the price you wish to bid.

The highest bid for the shirt, by the deadline of  5pm on Tuesday 19 April, will subsequently win the auction. The auction winner will then be contacted shortly after.

Payment must then be made within three working days through the support giving donation page which you can access by clicking here

Maggie's centres provide emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Built on the grounds of NHS hospitals with brilliant architectural work but run by an independent charity, Maggie’s work is in partnership with the NHS. In Oldham, the specialist staff offer one-to-one advice as well as group sessions, workshops and courses aimed at helping to address the physical and psychological impact of living with cancer. All the support the centre offers is also free.

Situated at the side of the Royal Oldham Hospital, the Oldham centre is a rectangular wooden building with a glass roof, near A&E and opposite the Victoria building, overlooking Sheepfoot Lane and Boundary Park at the top of the road.

Good luck to all Oldham fans bidding and thank you for supporting such a worthwhile cause.
